Parking

Festival attendees who did not purchase an onsite parking pass for this week’s HullabaLOU Music Festival at Churchill Downs will have an opportunity to park their vehicles at two remote parking locations near Interstate-65 and Fern Valley Road. Additionally, complimentary roundtrip shuttle service to the venue will be provided.

Only patrons who pre-purchased event reserved parking will be permitted to park onsite for Churchill Downs’ inaugural festival, which begins its three-day run Friday and continues through Sunday. A limited number of onsite parking spots remain available at 502-638-3834.

Remote parking and shuttle service to Churchill Downs will be available for $10 per car (cash only) at The Ford Plant and UPS Operations Center, which are located just five miles south of Churchill Downs at Fern Valley Road (Exit 128) just west of I-65. Directional signage will be easily seen at both north and southbound onramps. Shuttle service is an approximate 10-minute bus ride.  

Additionally, shuttle service will be available at two downtown locations. For $10, each patron can catch a roundtrip shuttle to Churchill Downs that will pick up and drop off at either Jefferson Street between 2^nd and 3^rd Street near the Kentucky International Convention Center or the Galt House Hotel at Fourth and Main streets.

There are also a limited number of parking spots available at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium for $10 per car. The parking lots are an approximate half-mile walk down Central Avenue to Churchill Downs’ Gate 3 infield entrance. No shuttle service will be available (except for patrons with mobility disabilities).

Taxi service also will be available to all guests with pick ups and drop offs outside Gate 17. Limousines and passenger vans must pre-purchase a pass to drop off and pick up customers by calling (502) 638-3834. Additionally, enterprising neighbors typically offer parking in the neighborhood when large-scale events are held at Churchill Downs.

Louisville Metro Police Department officers and traffic guards will be present daily to monitor area traffic on Central Avenue and other nearby streets to advance ingress and egress. LMPD will control traffic signals, turn lanes and pedestrian traffic.

All parking locations – both onsite and remote – will open early at 10 a.m. daily so guests can tailgate and prepare for the day’s festivities. Shuttle service to Churchill Downs will begin at noon.

Officials are advising attendees who plan to purchase a HullabaLOU ticket on the day of the show to park at one of the remote parking locations or take a shuttle to Churchill Downs. The shuttle drop off at Churchill Downs is conveniently located near the Gate 1 box office.

HullabaLOU Music Festival box offices will open at 11 a.m. daily and admission gates will open at 1 p.m. Live music will continue on the grounds until 11 p.m.

From Interstate 65 South (Indianapolis)

• All traffic should remain on Interstate 65 South until reaching Exit 128 (Fern Valley Road).
• At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Fern Valley Road.
• Patrons should follow event road signage to the appropriate lot.

From Interstate 71 South (Cincinnati)

• All traffic should remain on Interstate 71 South until reaching Interstate 264 West (Watterson Expressway).
• Take Interstate 264 West until Exit 12 (Interstate 65 South – Towards Nashville).
• Take Interstate 65 South until Exit 128 (Fern Valley Road).
• At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Fern Valley Road.
• Patrons should follow event road signage to the appropriate lot.

From Interstate 64 West (Lexington)

• All traffic should remain on Interstate 64 West until reaching Interstate 265 North (Gene Snyder Expressway).
• Take Interstate 265 North until Exit 11 (Interstate 65 North)
• Take Interstate 65 North until Exit 128 (Fern Valley Road / Route 1747).
• At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Fern Valley Road.
• Patrons should follow event road signage to the appropriate lot.

From Interstate 65 North (Nashville)

• All traffic should remain on Interstate 65 North until reaching Exit 128 (Fern Valley Road / Route 1747).
• At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Fern Valley Road.
• Patrons should follow event road signage to the appropriate lot.

From Interstate 64 East (St. Louis)

• All traffic should remain on Interstate 64 East until reaching Exit 1 (Interstate 264 East / Watterson Expressway).
• Take Interstate 264 East until Exit 12 (Interstate 65 South – Towards Nashville).
